Ring Furnace
Composed of a furnace shell, furnace body, furnace tube, and electric heating wire; the inner wall of the furnace tube serves as
the heating surface. Furnace tube inner diameter: Ø47 mm ±1 mm; length: 95 mm–110 mm. The electric heating wire shall be suitable
for long-term service; windings and power output shall satisfy requirements specified in Clause 7.2 of GB/T 20285-2006.
Ring Furnace Displacement
Servo motor driven; control precision: 0.01 mm/min, rated speed (10 ± 0.01) mm/min; movable travel ≥ 600 mm; forward displacement
speed adjustable; backward displacement speed: 50 mm/min; gas flow meter accuracy class: Class 2.5 or higher.
Quartz Tube & Sample Boat
Quartz tube: Made of corundum, resistant to temperatures up to 1600°C, easy to detach and clean, with high thermal conductivity.
The sample boat complies with Figure 3 of GB/T 20285-2006. The heating tube has a nominal inner diameter of (36 ± 1) mm, wall
thickness of (2 ± 0.5) mm, and length ranging from 1000 mm to 1300 mm. The quartz tube support frame supports horizontal and
vertical adjustment.
Smoke Collection and Distribution Assembly
In accordance with Figure 4 of GB/T 20285-2006, the assembly includes a three-way stopcock, dilution gas inlet pipe and gas
distribution elbow. All smoke flow pipelines feature a nominal inner diameter of (36 ± 1) mm and wall thickness of (2 ± 0.5) mm.
Smoke Mixing Performance
Capable of rapid and sufficient mixing of carrier gas and dilution gas.
Gas Path Switching
Enables convenient and rapid switching among exposure chamber, smoke collection chamber and exhaust system.
Mouse Rotating Cage
Aluminum construction, conforming to Figure 5 of GB/T 20285-2006; cage mass: (60 ± 10) g; shall rotate freely on the support
without fixed stop positions.
Mouse Activity Recording System
Detects cage rotation via infrared or magnetic signals; the time-activity curve of each mouse shall qualitatively reflect the
instantaneous angular velocity of the cage.
Exposure Chamber
Fabricated from colorless transparent acrylic, as shown in Figure 6 of GB/T 20285-2006. Effective internal volume: approx. 9.2 L;
suitable for exposure tests with 10 mice.
Temperature Control System Composition
Composed of temperature measuring thermocouple, cold junction compensator and temperature controller; temperature control range:
300–1200°C.
Temperature Measuring Thermocouple
Sheathed K-type thermocouple with an outer diameter of 1 mm. Its sensing tip shall closely attach to the inner wall of the middle
section of the ring furnace; the cold junction is connected to the temperature controller after cold junction compensation.
Temperature Control Index
Adopts PID control. Under static conditions, inner wall temperature fluctuation shall be controlled within ±1°C; during operation,
fluctuation shall be within ±2.5°C. Static temperature stability shall be maintained within ±1°C for more than 2 minutes. When
calibrating the heating intensity of the ring furnace, set carrier gas flow rate to 5 L/min and configure the inner wall
temperature accordingly.
Gas Supply System
Consists of gas source (bottled compressed air or clean ambient air supplied by air compressor), adjustable gas rotameters
(accuracy class 2.5 or higher) and gas pipelines. Flow range: carrier gas rotameter 15 L/min, dilution gas rotameter 10 L/min.
Heating Calibration Requirement
Perform static temperature scanning heating test on the furnace and record the time-temperature curve to verify compliance with
standard requirements.
Sealing & Safety
The ring furnace and flue gas toxicant collecting device shall be fully sealed to guarantee operator safety.
