Low-Temperature Atmospheric Plasma Cleaning Machine Atmospheric Plasma Cleaner Low-temp Plasma Cleaning Equipment
Principle of Low-Temperature Atmospheric Plasma Surface Treatment Technology
The energy of particles in low-temperature plasma is generally several to tens of electron volts, which is greater than the bond energy of polymer materials (several to tens of electron volts), and can completely break the chemical bonds of organic macromolecules to form new bonds; however, it is far lower than high-energy radioactive rays, only affecting the material surface and not affecting the performance of the substrate. In the non-thermodynamic equilibrium state of low-temperature plasma, electrons have high energy, which can break the chemical bonds of molecules on the material surface and increase the chemical reactivity of particles (greater than thermal plasma), while the temperature of neutral particles is close to room temperature. These advantages provide suitable conditions for surface modification of heat-sensitive polymer materials. Through low-temperature plasma surface treatment, various physical and chemical changes occur on the material surface, resulting in etching and roughening, or the formation of a dense cross-linked layer, or the introduction of oxygen-containing polar groups, thereby improving hydrophilicity, adhesion, dyeability, biocompatibility, and electrical properties. Under suitable process conditions, the surface morphology of the material undergoes significant changes, introducing various oxygen-containing groups, transforming the surface from non-polar and difficult to bond to a certain degree of polarity, easy to bond, and hydrophilic, which is beneficial for bonding, coating, and printing. Applying high-frequency AC high voltage to both ends of the electrodes causes gas glow discharge in the air between the two electrodes, forming a plasma region. During their movement, electrons continuously collide with gas molecules, generating a large number of new electrons. When these electrons reach the anode, they accumulate on the dielectric surface, thus achieving surface modification.
Principle of Atmospheric Plasma Generation:
Matter generally exists in three states with changes in temperature: solid, liquid, and gas. When energy is further added to the gaseous substance, the gaseous substance undergoes a chemical reaction, forming a mixed state of electrons, ions, and high-energy particles. This state is called the plasma state.
