Introduction
The LR-D200 air jet sieve utilizes air flow to carry the samples for sieving. The air jet generated by the air flow is beneficial for dispersing the agglomerated particles of the samples, and it can also effectively clean the sieve holes. The instrument employs negative pressure air jet technology, which can effectively separate extremely fine powders. It has a rapid and effective sieving effect for powders with strong agglomeration, powders with adhesion, and powders with static electricity. The most distinctive feature of the air jet sieving instrument is its ability to quickly and effectively separate fine powders with strong agglomeration.
When the negative pressure airflow passes through a slotted rotating nozzle (placed on the bottom surface of the standard sieve), the negative pressure generated by the airflow through the vortex air passage forms a huge concentrated airflow at the nozzle. The airflow is sprayed onto the bottom surface of the standard sieve mesh containing the powder sample, then mixes with the air and disperses. The strongly agglomerated powder that collides with the transparent sieve cover is again impacted and dispersed. The suction force of the negative pressure airflow pulls the powder sample towards the sieve holes. The samples smaller than the sieve holes are carried through the sieve holes by the airflow and collected in the sample collector. The coarse particles remain on the sieve, thus achieving the sieving of the samples.
The air jet sieving instrument usually uses powder samples with particle sizes less than 75 micrometers. The circulation of negative pressure airflow perfectly solves the problem of powder particles blocking the sieve holes. When the jet air flows through the sieve holes from the bottom of the sieve, it will lift the particles that have blocked the sieve holes and reposition them, allowing the particles near the sieve to be sieved again.
The working principle of the air jet sieve (air flow screening instrument)
The air jet sieve operates based on the principle that air serves as the carrier and the negative pressure airflow provides the kinetic energy. The air flow passing through the nozzle mixes with the materials. Due to the negative pressure effect, a mixed airflow of the sample is formed within the standard sieve and is sprayed onto the sieve mesh, thereby achieving the purpose of rapid and accurate sieving.
The finer the powder, the more likely it is to form lumps and agglomerate. As a result, the sample is particularly prone to blocking the sieve holes. Ordinary mechanical sieving cannot effectively solve such problems.
