Structure and principle

Rotorless vulcanizer is a kind of intelligent instrument which combines mechanical and electrical principles.It consists of the following parts:
A. Mechanical part: it is composed of shell, upper and lower mold, vibrator, force sensor and transmission;
B. Air compressor control system: it is composed of open and close mold cylinder, solenoid valve and air compressor;
C. Electronic control system: it is composed of temperature measurement and control system and door control device;
D. Test and control system: it is mainly composed of microprocessor, computer control system, data acquisition device, ac device, data processor, motor control, mold opening and closing control, and report printer.The printer is an HP printer and the paper is A4.
Design principle
The mold cavity is composed of upper and lower molds. The rubber sample is placed in the nearly closed mold cavity and maintains a certain temperature and pressure. One of the mold cavities vibrates at a frequency of 1.7hz with an amplitude of 0.5o or 1o.The vibration of the mold cavity causes the sample to generate shear strain, and at the same time, the sample generates a counterforce (torque) in the opposite direction to the mold cavity. The force value depends on the stiffness of the adhesive (shear modulus).
With the beginning of vulcanization, the stiffness of the rubber sample increases, and the reaction force (torque) measured by the force measuring mechanism will gradually rise to a stable value or a large value and will be displayed on the screen gradually. At the same time, a curve of the corresponding relationship between torque and time can be seen, which is usually called "vulcanization curve".The shape of the curve and the test temperature are related to the properties of the adhesive.After the test, data and curves will be automatically stored in the database. The shape of the vulcanization curve depends on the test temperature and the properties of the rubber specimen.In addition to the curve, the computer-controlled printer prints out the corresponding technical parameters.
The data on the printed report represents the following:
ML: small torque
MH: high torque
TS1 (early vulcanization time and coking time) : ML ±0.1nm is the time corresponding to the increase of 0.1n ·m torque on the basis of ML, which is calculated in minutes.
TS2 (early curing time and coking time) : ML± 0.2nm is the corresponding time when 0.2n ·m torque is added on the basis of ML, which is calculated in minutes.
T10 (initial vulcanization time) : ML+ (mh-ml) ×10%, the corresponding time when the torque reaches this value, which is calculated in minutes.
T50 (vulcanization time that can be accurately evaluated) : ML+ (mh-ml)× 50% the corresponding time when the torque reaches this value, which is calculated in minutes.
T90 (usually good curing time) : ML+ (mh-ml)× 90% of the time when the torque reaches this value, which is calculated in minutes.
VC (vulcanization rate index) : VC=100/ (t90-ts1)
