Operating Instructions and Precautions for Multi-stage Spring Impact Hammers

I. Introduction

The manufacturing standards of universal spring impact hammers, multi-stage spring impact hammers, and six-stage spring impact hammers are as follows:

Multi-stage spring impact hammers are manufactured in accordance with the relevant provisions of IEC 60068-2-75, GB/T 2423.55-2006, GB 4706.1, GB 8898, GB 7000, IEC 884, and UL 1244.

The main application of the universal spring impact hammer:

It is used to test the ability of the shells of household and similar electrical products, such as handles, knobs, buttons, indicator lights, etc., to withstand mechanical impacts.

II. Specification of the impact energy of the spring impact:

III. Usage Instructions: (0.5 Spring Impact Tester Operation Guide)

1. Fix the test sample as per the requirements, and select the impact location as per the instructions.

2. Pull the spherical handle of the impact tester until the small release tab catches the hammer handle, and the impact tester will be in a ready-to-fire state.

3. Align the axial direction of the impact tester with the surface of the test product, then slowly push the impact tester to perform the impact. The impact tester should have sufficient mechanical strength, and its structure should be able to withstand rough handling that may occur during normal use. The qualification of the tester can be checked by applying blows to the tester using the impact test instrument specified in IEC81/ through the spring-driven impact test method.

The tester is rigidly supported, and three impacts with an energy of 0.5J ± 0.04 are applied to each possible weak point on the tester's outer shell. If necessary, the handle, operating lever, knob and similar parts, as well as the signal light and its cover, can also be struck, but these lights or covers protruding from the shell should be more than 10mm or their surface area should be more than 4cm². The lights and their covers inside the tester are only tested if they may be damaged during normal use. After the test, the tester should show no damage within the meaning of this standard, especially the compliance with 8.1, 15.1 and 29.1 should not be impaired. In case of doubt, additional insulation or reinforced insulation should undergo the electrical strength test of 16.3.

If there is any doubt about whether a defect was caused by the previous blow, this defect can be disregarded, and three strikes in a group of three should be applied to the same location on a new sample that should undergo this test.

Single stage: Fix the test sample according to the relevant standards, select the impact test point, pull the operating handle of the impact tester, and the impact tester will be in a ready-to-fire state. Align the impact tester vertically with the surface of the sample and make contact, then push the impact tester to release it and perform the impact test.

Multiple stages: Rotate the rear cover to change to the required impact energy, the same as the single-stage operation.

Please use it in a horizontal position.

IV. Important Notes

1. When not in use, the device should be in the release state.

2. After replacing or adjusting the spring, the device must be calibrated by a metrology department before it can be used.

3. This device is a precision instrument. It should be handled with care and protected from being knocked over.

4. Storage conditions: A box with desiccant at a temperature range of 5 to 35 degrees Celsius.
