This specialized instrument measures the evaporation value of plastic components in vehicles, designed for testing interior materials of automobiles and aircraft. It evaluates volatile component evaporation under high temperatures and can also assess high-temperature evaporation in vehicle xenon headlights.
The testing process involves heating the sample in a fogging cup, where vaporized gas condenses on a cooled glass plate or aluminum foil. After condensation, the fogging value or weight of condensed components is measured and compared with pre-test data to determine the sample's vaporization characteristics.
