The Valley Beater is an internationally standardized laboratory instrument for papermaking, designed for comprehensive beating trials across diverse fiber types including plant, synthetic, carbon, and glass fibers. Through mechanical interaction between the fly-bar roll and bedplate, the equipment subjects fiber pulp to cutting, crushing, kneading, splitting, swelling, and fibrillation processes.

This advanced processing facilitates cell wall displacement and deformation, along with rupture of primary walls and outer secondary wall layers, achieving precise fiber fibrillation and controlled shortening. By adjusting weight load and beating duration, operators can precisely control beating degree to meet specific requirements—from low to high beating levels—providing reliable samples for pulp property analysis and sheet formation studies.

This versatile equipment supports fiber processing in both wet-laid and dry-laid forming processes, serving as an essential tool for production testing, quality control, process development, and as fundamental equipment for educational and research applications.
