 Introduction

The Zebra Method Detector is designed and manufactured in accordance with the technical requirements of the national standard GB11614-2009 "Flat Glass". It is a testing instrument used to measure the optical deformation angle (Zebra Angle) of float glass. It is an essential quality inspection equipment for float glass production enterprises and is also applicable to various glass quality inspection institutions at all levels.

Principle and Block Diagram

The principle illustration of the Zebra Method Detector is shown in the figure. It consists of a Zebra light box screen, a graduated turntable, and a control cabinet. The lighting box evenly illuminates the Zebra screen. The observer stands 9 meters away from the screen and controls the rotation of the turntable through the buttons on the control console. The glass sample is placed upright on the glass support and the deformation of the Zebra stripes is observed through the glass sample. The critical angle of the Zebra stripe deformation (the angle between the parallel line of the glass and the Zebra screen) is measured. At this time, the angle displayed on the turntable is the optical deformation angle of this glass sample.
