DM1262 Model EDXRF portable sulfur analyzer


Description:

The X-ray fluorescence sulfur analyzer is a quantitative analysis instrument used in industries such as petroleum, coal, building materials, metallurgy, and mining. It is mainly used to measure the total sulfur (S) content in materials such as petroleum products, coal, cement, and carbon black. Due to its use of physical analysis methods, it has the advantages of fast analysis speed, no need for complex sample pre-treatment, high accuracy, low human error, low labor intensity for operators, and no pollution. Therefore, it has been widely used and has largely replaced chemical analysis methods.

The DM1262 type energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence portable sulfur analyzer, abbreviated as DM1262 type EDXRF portable sulfur analyzer, is developed by our company based on decades of research experience in X-ray fluorescence analyzers. It is an improvement on the DM1260 type X-ray fluorescence sulfur analyzer that has been sold over 1,000 units in the company. Like the DM1260, it adopts energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) analysis technology, uses a small X-ray tube as the excitation source, a thin beryllium window filled with a proportional counter tube, a secondary filter, and a special optical path system. It has automatic C/H ratio correction, is suitable for various samples, is integrated, has a large data storage capacity, and provides rapid and accurate analysis.

The DM1262 type EDXRF portable sulfur analyzer has been developed to meet the on-site rapid detection and analysis requirements of S content in oil products and to comply with the 2019 version of GB/T17040. Besides maintaining the advantages of the original DM1260, the following significant improvements have also been made:

(1) The original proportional counter was replaced by a low-background proportional counter with a thinner window. The distances and angles between the radiation source, the detector and the sample were adjusted. The thickness of the secondary filter was also changed.

(2) The fixed X-ray source was replaced by a variable X-ray source, enabling the adjustment of the high voltage and current according to the measured content. The target material of the X-ray tube was also changed.

(3) The original simple multi-channel pulse amplitude analyzer was replaced by a newly designed digital multi-channel pulse amplitude analyzer that employs technologies such as FPGA and DSP. This not only reduced the dead time but also increased the counting throughput. Moreover, it also decreased the weight and volume.

(4) The X-ray tube was integrated with the high voltage, resulting in a reduction in weight and size.

(5) Replace the original small-scale circuits with new large-scale integrated circuit CPUs, and replace the original vertical circuits with surface-mount circuits. Use lithium-ion batteries instead of switching power supplies.

The improvements in (1), (2) and (3) reduced the background, enhanced the sensitivity, thereby significantly lowering the detection limit to 2.6 ppm (300s), enabling this sulfur analyzer to fully meet the requirement of PLOQ (combined quantification limit) of 16 ppm in the 2019 version of GB/T17040. At the same time, it complies with the relevant requirements of national standard GB17411 and American standard ASTM D4294. The improvements in (3), (4) and (5) greatly reduced the weight and volume of the sulfur analyzer.

The DM1262 type EDXRF portable sulfur analyzer is a portable instrument. It is small and lightweight, weighing only about 5 kilograms (including battery and printer). It is easy to carry and does not require gases, vacuums, or dilutions. It is particularly suitable for on-site rapid detection and analysis.

The launch of the DM1262 type EDXRF portable sulfur analyzer is the result of our company's pursuit of self-improvement. It will undoubtedly enable our company to maintain a long-term leading position in the domestic X-ray fluorescence analyzer field.


Characteristics

Easy to use - touchscreen operation. Samples are directly placed in the sample cup, and after inserting it into the instrument, simply press the [Start] button. This truly enables one-click operation.

High reliability - Integrated design, high degree of integration, strong environmental adaptability, strong anti-interference ability, high reliability.

Data storage - Capable of storing massive amounts of data, it supports data retention even after power loss, and allows for immediate data viewing. Additionally, the stored data can be transmitted to a PC.

High cost-effectiveness - No need for gases, vacuum, or dilution. The operating and maintenance costs are extremely low. The price is half that of similar products from abroad.


Application

It is particularly suitable for various institutions that require on-site rapid detection to conduct on-site rapid detection and analysis of S elements in various oil products (such as vehicle gasoline and diesel, diesel used in inland rivers, near-sea and ocean-going vessels, fuel oil, and gasoline and fuel oil in the circulation process), with the measurement range from 16 ppm to 10%.

Suitable for oil refineries, testing and certification institutions, oil depots, laboratories, etc. for measuring S elements in various oil products (such as gasoline, diesel, heavy oil, residual fuel oil, etc.), additives, lubricating oils containing additives, as well as products from the refining and chemical processes, with a measurement range from 16 ppm to 10% in these substances.It is also applicable to the measurement of the S element in any material in all industries.
