EN 381-1 381-2 Sawing Resistance Testing Machine Cutting Resistance Tester Testing Device
Instroduction
The instrument is suitable for testing the cutting resistance of personal protective equipment, which can prevent the risks associated with the use of handheld chainsaws. This equipment is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of standard EN 381-1, with a testing speed ranging from 0 to 32 m/s, and includes a digital speed display, a digital timer for free operation stop time (in seconds/100), a chainsaw positioning adjustment system, and a safety stopper for testing installation protection and a protective cover with safety electronic system. The instrument also includes a leg protection test stand that can be adjusted at 45° and 90° positions for testing according to EN 381-2, eight weights (250g) for calibrating uniform tension, or test samples, a device for preparing samples, a distance plate for determining the distance between the chain and the test sample or the calibration pad, a spare guide rod, a chain and covering material (EVA foam).
Meet the criterion
EN 381-1 Protective clothing for users of handheld chain saws - Part 1: Test rig for evaluating the resistance to cutting in chain saw tests
Test principle
The test bench applies the mobile chainsaw to personal protective equipment, allowing the speed and kinetic energy of the chain to be controlled. During the test, the chain is not in a powered (physically disconnected) condition and moves only under the influence of its own momentum, along with the flywheel to which it is connected. Then the chain rotates downward onto the test sample. The result of the test is to observe whether the sample penetrates under the given test speed.
