NF P92 Electric Spray M1 Combustion Tester Electric Spraying Torch Burning Tester Electric Burner Testing Machine
Product Introduction
The Electric Burner M1-Class Flammability Tester is designed for French M1-class flammability testing in accordance with the NF P 92-503 standard.
It utilizes a calibrated thermal radiation furnace to expose the specimen to heat radiation while simultaneously applying a timed flame impingement.
Combustion characteristics—such as sustained burning, flaming droplets, and the extent of specimen damage—are observed to evaluate whether the specimen meets the requirements for the French M1 classification.
Standard Compliance
NF P 92-503: Reaction to fire tests for building materials – Test using an electric burner for flexible materials with a thickness of 5 mm or less.

Technical Specifications
1. The system consists of an electrical control cabinet, a heating unit, a calibration device, a specimen holder, and a fan-shaped burner;
2. The electrical control cabinet features a painted sheet-metal finish, offering an aesthetically pleasing appearance;
3. The control system utilizes a PLC and a touchscreen to monitor the testing process and results;
4. A standard thermal radiation furnace is used, featuring an external ceramic protective cover and a central spiral metal rod to ensure rapid, uniform, and stable airflow heating;
5. Target temperatures are entered directly and precisely via the touchscreen, with PID algorithms employed for accurate heating temperature control;
6. The calibration device utilizes a copper plate calorimeter (30mm diameter, 5mm thickness) equipped with a K-type thermocouple at its center;
7. Sliding rails at the base of the test apparatus allow for quick, convenient, and precise switching between testing and calibration positions;
8. Calibration method: Once the furnace stabilizes, the heating unit is moved directly beneath the calorimeter; the time required for the temperature to rise from 30°C to 80°C is recorded (approximately 1 minute);
9. The specimen holder is constructed from 304 stainless steel, ensuring durability and an attractive appearance;
10. The specimen holder features a flip mechanism and a pin-style specimen frame for easy specimen installation;
11. Once the specimen is installed, the holder is flipped to the test position, and the system automatically begins timing the test;
12. During testing, the specimen is positioned 30mm from the center of the furnace opening and tilted upward at a 30-degree angle;
13. A fan-shaped burner applies flame impingement;
14. An imported rotameter allows for precise adjustment of the flame height;
15. A flame gauge is included to facilitate flame height verification (standard height: 30mm);
16. The system includes an alert mechanism that provides both audible and visual alarms during the flame impingement operation;
17. Dimensions: 1250 x 540 x 700 mm; packaged weight: approx. 60 kg.
