1. Overview:
This testing machine employs a configuration where the wheel remains stationary while the load rotates; a variable-frequency motor applies a bending moment to the wheel via centrifugal loading to evaluate its bending fatigue characteristics. It is primarily used for rotary bending fatigue testing of automotive wheels.
2. Main Components and Descriptions:
The machine primarily consists of the main unit, data acquisition and measurement system, control system, high-voltage electrical system, and necessary accessories.
2.1 The main unit comprises the machine frame, loading shaft, automatic centering/clamping assembly, and rotating loading assembly. The frame is cast as a single piece from HT250 iron, offering high strength, excellent rigidity, and superior vibration-damping properties suitable for the operational environment. Vibration-damping pads with excellent shock-absorbing capabilities are installed at the base of the unit to further minimize vibration.
2.2 The machine employs a loading method where the wheel remains stationary while the load rotates; this design is energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and facilitates observation of the wheel during testing.
2.2 A variable-frequency drive (VFD) motor provides the driving power, enabling stepless speed regulation; this drives the load to rotate at high speed, thereby applying a bending moment to the wheel via the rotating shaft.
2.4 A combination of pneumatic mechanisms and expansion sleeves is used to center the wheel, ensuring convenient installation and operation.
2.5 The bending moment is applied to the wheel through the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation of weights driven by the motor via a synchronous belt; the magnitude of the bending moment is adjusted by changing the weights and varying the rotational speed.
2.6 Equipped with a high-precision non-contact laser sensor to measure and detect wheel deformation;
2.7 Equipped with a surface-mounted bending moment sensor to determine the bending moment acting on the wheel;
2.8 Monitors spindle bending during the test to enable an emergency stop function in the event of wheel failure;
2.9 The measurement and control software includes the following key functions:
2.9.1 Test parameters are configured via the software;
2.9.2 Displays test graphs, applied load values, etc.; supports report printing and file management;
2.9.3 Closed-loop bending moment control; displays the bending moment and displacement resonance circle, load curve, and displacement curve on an X-Y coordinate system
2.10 The spindle is made of 40Cr steel and undergoes rigorous dynamic balancing to ensure the accuracy of test results.
2.11 A laser displacement sensor and limit switches form the measurement and protection system; measurement data is integrated with the controller to establish a closed-loop control system for conducting load tests. This system also serves a protective function, preventing equipment damage caused by loss of control or human error.
2.12 A safety guard is installed at the base of the equipment; the guard must be closed during testing to ensure personal safety. An observation window is provided on the guard to allow for monitoring the interior of the main unit.
2.13 The equipment is equipped with a dedicated control cabinet housing the control system, facilitating ease of operation.
