The Molten Metal Splash Impact Tester is developed in accordance with testing standards EN 348 and ISO 9150. It also meets the requirements of Chinese standards GB 8965.2-2009 (Protective clothing for welders) and GB/T 17599-1998 (Determination of resistance to molten metal splash). The testing principle involves using a welding torch to melt a metal rod; the number of molten metal droplets required to cause a 40°C temperature rise in a calorimeter placed behind the fabric specimen is recorded.

A counterweighted copper hammer applies a pre-tension of 175g ± 0.5g to the fabric
Temperature rise data is recorded automatically, while the number of molten droplets is recorded manually by the operator
