Scope of Application
The Paper Sheet Former (Rapid Köthen Method) is an integrated laboratory instrument combining sheet formation and vacuum drying. It is designed for research and testing purposes in papermaking research institutes and paper mills. The instrument forms pulp into a paper sheet with a diameter of 200 mm; the sheet is then dried on the dryer unit before undergoing physical strength testing to evaluate pulp raw material properties and beating process specifications. Its technical specifications comply with national standards for papermaking physical testing equipment.
Instrument Features
Integrates sheet formation and vacuum drying; features white water circulation, electric water filling, compressed-air and manual pulp agitation, large-aperture drainage valves, and vacuum-assisted filtration forming. Capable of forming extra-thick sheets; the drying chamber includes an elastic suction-clamping mechanism, allowing for sheet drying thicknesses of up to 10 mm. Equipped with an automatic anti-oil-backflow device for the vacuum pump. Utilizes a specialized water-circulating vacuum pump that generates high negative pressure via the Venturi principle and centrifugal vacuum technology; features a compact, space-saving design, high pumping capacity, and high vacuum levels, requiring no maintenance during operation and capable of functioning in harsh environments.
The drying section employs vacuum-assisted heating, ensuring high vacuum levels and rapid drying speeds;
Heating elements consist of heating plates, offering long service life and easy replacement;
The temperature control system utilizes intelligent PID control and includes alarms for short circuits, open circuits, and over-temperature conditions, ensuring high precision and reliable operation.
