Purpose and Scope of Application
The Formaldehyde Climate Chamber is a testing device developed for the determination of formaldehyde emissions, designed in accordance with national standards (GB 18580-2025, LY/T 1612-2023), American standards (ASTM D6007-2), European standards (EN 717-1), international standards (ISO 16000-9), and German standards (DIN EN 16516-2018). It is suitable for measuring formaldehyde emissions from a wide range of materials, including various types of man-made boards, engineered wood flooring, interior decoration materials (such as carpets, carpet underlays, and carpet adhesives), furniture, automotive interior components, and architectural decorative materials. Additionally, it can be utilized for the constant-temperature and constant-humidity conditioning of wood or man-made boards, as well as for the detection of volatile hazardous gases in other building materials.

Intelligent Integrated Humidity Control Method (Dry-and-Wet Bulb & Dew Point):This method synthesizes the advantages of both the dry-and-wet bulb technique and the dew-point technique. Initially, it utilizes the dry-and-wet bulb method to rapidly achieve the target humidity level—typically within one hour. Once the target humidity is reached, the system automatically switches to the dew-point method to provide auxiliary humidity control. This approach ensures exceptional stability, with humidity fluctuations generally remaining within ±2%—a performance level significantly superior to the ±3% tolerance required by relevant standards.

Working Principle and Product Features
Working Principle:A sample with a surface area of 1 square meter is placed inside a climate chamber where temperature, relative humidity, airflow velocity, and air exchange rate are maintained at specific, controlled values. Formaldehyde is released from the sample and mixes with the air inside the chamber. Air is periodically drawn from the chamber and passed through an absorption bottle containing distilled water, allowing all the formaldehyde present in the air to dissolve into the water. The quantity of formaldehyde in the absorption solution and the volume of air sampled are measured to calculate the formaldehyde concentration per cubic meter of air, expressed in milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m³). Sampling is conducted cyclically until the formaldehyde concentration within the test chamber reaches a state of equilibrium.
