Product Introduction

The LR-SCT short-distance compression tester quickly measures the compressive strength of corrugated cardboard and corrugated paper. Compressive strength determines the stackability of corrugated boxes. The purpose of measuring compressive strength is to help manufacturers produce high-strength boxes using minimal raw materials.

Working Principle

A 15 mm wide specimen is compressed between two jaws spaced 0.7 mm apart until failure, measuring the maximum compressive force and calculating the compression strength.

Testing Method

This instrument employs the Short Span Compression Test (SCT), which is the optimal method for evaluating and optimizing the compressive strength of kraft paper and corrugated board.
