Instrument Usage
This machine is suitable for conducting flame resistance tests on various insulating coating materials.
It mainly follows the standards such as GB8332, GB8333, ISO3582, and ASTM D 4986 series, using a specified size Bunsen burner and a specific gas source (propane), and applying a certain flame height and a certain angle of flame application to the samples in a horizontal or vertical position for a certain number of times. The duration of the sample's ignition and burning, the duration of the burning flame, and the length of the remaining flame after the sample is extinguished are used to evaluate its flammability and ignition hazard performance.
It mainly conducts a grading assessment of the material's flammability. It is applicable to research, production, and quality inspection departments of electrical products such as lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine electrical appliances, motors, power tools, electronic instruments, electrical instruments, electrical connectors and accessories, as well as electrical components and parts of electrical products. It is also applicable to the insulation materials, engineering plastics or other solid flammable materials industries.
1. This equipment is suitable for determining the non-extinguishing performance of the sample under the direct burning of the specified fire source.
2. The equipment consists of a control box, a combustion test box, a combustion nozzle, an electromagnetic valve, a high-pressure igniter, a sample fixture, a gas pipe, a gas source, internal and external flame adjustment devices, and signal control lines. The entire process of this machine is fully automatic, such as: electronic ignition, stop ignition time, combustion time, and the number of combustion times can all be automatically completed.

Sample Preparation |
The sample is a rectangular block with all outer skins removed. Length (150 ± 1) mm, width (50 ± 1) mm, thickness (13 ± 1) mm. If the thickness is 5 mm to 13 mm, the outer skin can be left for the original sample thickness. |

Marking Line |
Each sample shall have a marking line drawn across the full width of the length-width plane, perpendicular to the long axis and 25 mm from one end. For samples with outer skin on one side only, the marking line shall be on the side with the outer skin. |
