Scope of application

Precision fiber slicing instrument, used for creating precise cross-sectional samples of fibers, so as to facilitate further examination or research under a microscope. It can also produce slices for microscopic observation, testing and analysis.

 

Product Details

Insert a bundle of de-lipidated fibers into the small hole at the top of the slicer. The inserted medium is suitable for the fiber bundle and can be dried. The fiber bundle is placed on the discharger, and the required thickness of the fiber sample is determined using a micrometer, and then a thin slice can be cut off with a blade.

Operation Instructions

1. Rotate the micrometer to the bottom position;

2. Unscrew the two screws on the cover plate, remove the cover plate;

3. Pass the fiber through the small hole of the cover plate and expose a short section;

4. Tighten the screws on the cover plate, push the push plate towards the small hole side, press the fiber, and lock the nut on the push plate;

5. Use a blade to cut the fiber along the cover plate;

6. Rotate the micrometer to expose the desired fiber thickness;

7. Apply fire cotton glue;

8. Use a blade to cut the fiber along the cover plate.
