I. IPX3 Water Spray Test

Test Method:

a. Swing pipe water spraying test

1. Test Equipment: Swing Pipe Water Spray Test Apparatus

2. Sample Placement: Select an appropriate radius for the oscillating arm so that the height of the sample support surface is at the diameter position of the oscillating arm. Place the sample on the support surface, ensuring that the distance from the top of the sample to the water spray outlet is no more than 200mm. The support surface does not rotate.

3. Test Conditions: The water flow rate is calculated based on the number of spray holes in the oscillating arm, with each hole having a flow rate of 0.07L/min. During the test, the water from the spray holes within a 60° arc on both sides of the center of the oscillating arm is directed towards the sample. The sample is placed at the center of the semi-circle formed by the oscillating arm. The oscillating arm swings 60° on each side of the vertical line, for a total of 120°. Each swing (2×120°) lasts approximately 4 seconds.

4. Test Duration: Continuous water spray for 10 minutes.

II. Spray head water spray test

1. Test Equipment: Handheld Water Spray Test Apparatus

Sample Placement: Ensure that the parallel distance from the top of the sample to the water spray outlet of the handheld nozzle is between 300mm and 500mm.

2. Test Conditions: A balance weight equipped shield should be installed during the test. The water flow rate is 10L/min.

3. Test Duration: Calculate based on the surface area of the sample's enclosure, with 1 minute per square meter (excluding installation area), and a minimum of 5 minutes.

2. IPX4 Water Spray Test

Test Method:

a. Swing pipe water splashing test

1. Test Equipment and Sample Placement: The same as described in IPX3, a.

2. Test Conditions: Except for the conditions mentioned below, the same as described in IPX3, a. The spray area is the area within a 90° arc on each side of the center point of the oscillating arm, where the spray holes are located and spray towards the sample. The sample is placed at the center of the semi-circle formed by the oscillating arm. The oscillating arm swings 180° on each side of the vertical line, totaling approximately 360°. Each swing (2×360°) lasts about 12 seconds.

3. Test Duration: The same as described in IPX3, a. (i.e., 10 minutes).

b. Spray head water splashing test

1. Test Equipment and Sample Placement: The same as described in IPX3, b.

2. Test Conditions: Remove the balance weight equipped shield installed on the equipment. The rest is the same as described in IPX3, b.

3. Test Duration: The same as described in IPX3, b. That is, calculate based on the outer surface area of the sample being tested, 1 minute per square meter (excluding the installation area).
