Test Methodology
The testing process involves fixing a fabric specimen onto the base platform, mounting a standard white friction cloth onto the friction head, and running the instrument for a preset number of cycles. After the test, the degree of color transfer onto the white cloth is visually assessed against a standard gray scale, providing an objective rating of the fabric's color fastness. The instrument supports both dry and wet friction testing modes, with the wet test involving a standardized moisture content procedure.
