Product Description
The geotextile wear test apparatus, also known as the geotextile wear testing machine, uses the sand cloth-slider method to measure the wear resistance of geotextiles and related products.
Introduction
During testing, the sample is placed on a fixed platform and rubbed with abrasive materials having specified surface properties. Under controlled pressure and friction, the abrasive material moves linearly along the horizontal axis. Wear resistance is calculated as the percentage loss of tensile strength before and after friction.
The apparatus employs the sand cloth/slide plate method. The test sample is placed on the fixed upper plate and secured with a clamp. The abrasive material is positioned on the reciprocating lower plate, also clamped at both ends. After repeated friction cycles under controlled conditions, wear performance is determined by measuring the percentage loss of tensile strength.
