Fabric Tactile Tester Textiles Overall Hand Feel Style Test Machine Textiles Curvature Test Device

Introduction

The fabric tactile tester simulates the actions of touching the fabric by hand, such as pulling, pressing, pinching, kneading, and rubbing, to test the properties of the fabric including thickness, curvature, compression, friction, and stretching. It obtains five quantitative indicators: thickness, softness, stiffness, smoothness, and tightness, to objectively evaluate the overall hand feel style of the fabric.

 

Experimental Principle

This simulates the subjective perception process of human hands on fabrics. All the pressure heads used are cylindrical shapes resembling human fingers, with fine patterns on the surface to simulate fingerprints. The pressure heads are arranged in the form of one on top and two below to simulate the process of human touch. The system quantifies the corresponding indicators through physical tests such as compression, bending, friction, and stretching on the materials, obtaining parameters such as the thickness of the surface compression, softness SF, stiffness ST, smoothness SM, and tightness LT. Then, it evaluates the overall style of the fabric.

1. Thickness indicator, the thickness of the fabric compressed by the curved surface.

2. In the first stage, the surface is compressed to obtain the compression modulus, compression deformation amount, etc., which is expressed as the softness factor SF.

3. In the second stage, the bending test yields values such as bending force, bending modulus, and bending energy, which are expressed as stiffness ST.

4. In the third stage, the friction test yields the average friction force, friction coefficient, frictional work, and the sliding resistance SM.

5. In the fourth stage, the tensile test yields the tensile modulus and tensile work, which are expressed as the looseness/LT.
