Using tungsten carbide as the scratching tip, this testing machine precisely detects surface wear caused by unconventional physical forms (scraping, grasping, planing, etc.). The test sample is fixed on the driven detection platform while five independent shaft rods with replaceable scratching tips apply constant vertical force to the sample surface.
