Product Description

Overview

The nanoparticle size analyzer is a new generation of nanoparticle size analysis instrument developed based on years of scientific research. Based on the principle of dynamic light scattering, the sample is dispersed in an automatically controlled temperature sample cell. High-purity laser light irradiates the sample, and an optical fiber receives the sample particles at a 90° angle to the laser. The intensity of the scattered light caused by Brownian motion fluctuates over time, and a photomultiplier tube transmits this dynamic signal in high fidelity to a correlator. The correlator then performs autocorrelation calculations to obtain the autocorrelation curve of the sample. Combined with mathematical methods, the diffusion coefficient of the particles is obtained, and the particle size distribution of the sample is further obtained using the Stokes-Einstein equation.

 

Applications

The nanoparticle size analyzer is widely used for particle characterization of organic or inorganic nanoparticles, emulsions, polymers, micelles, viral antibodies, and proteins, as well as for the detection and analysis of sample system stability and particle aggregation tendency.

 

Key Performance Features

Full DC Power Supply: The instrument uses an external adapter for full DC power supply technology. No 220V AC power enters the instrument, eliminating interference from AC power on signal acquisition, resulting in more stable and safer measurements.

High sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio: Utilizing a HAMAMATSU professional-grade high-performance photomultiplier tube (PMT) with low dark count and high sensitivity as the detector, it exhibits extremely high sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio to photon signals, thus ensuring high accuracy and high resolution of the test results;

Powerful computing capabilities: The PCS technology for determining the size of nanoscale particles must be able to resolve nanosecond-level signal fluctuations. The core component of this instrument utilizes a high-speed photon correlator developed with an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), boasting extremely high resolution (6ns) and signal processing speed. It can rapidly and in real-time acquire photon counts and perform correlation calculations, laying the foundation for high test accuracy.

Powerful analysis software: The analysis software employs internationally recommended cumulative methods, as well as commonly used algorithms such as Non-Negative Least Squares (NNLS) and Continua. Its test results show excellent consistency with internationally authoritative products of the same type.

High-precision temperature control system: The sample cell and laser temperature control systems have an accuracy of ±0.1℃, ensuring that the tested sample and laser source remain at a constant temperature throughout the entire testing process. This avoids the influence of temperature changes on the test results, ensuring test accuracy and repeatability.

Advanced testing principle: This instrument uses dynamic light scattering and photon correlation spectroscopy technology. It determines particle size based on the Brownian motion velocity of particles in a liquid; small particles have a fast Brownian motion velocity, while large particles have a slow Brownian motion velocity. When a laser beam illuminates a moving particle, the scattered light at a certain angle (90 degrees in this instrument) dynamically changes over time. The rate of change is related to the particle's Brownian motion velocity in the liquid. Photon correlation spectroscopy is used to statistically analyze the dynamic scattering spectrum and perform correlation calculations, and the particle size is calculated according to the Stokes-Einstein equation.

Stable Optical Path System: The photon correlation spectroscopy detection system, constructed using a combination of a temperature-controlled high-power semiconductor laser and optical fiber, is not only small in size but also possesses strong anti-interference capabilities and stability, ensuring repeatable and stable test results.

Accurate and Stable Testing: The perfect combination of high-performance hardware and internationally standardized inversion algorithms results in accurate and repeatable test results, with accuracy and repeatability exceeding international standards.
