Scope of application

The A1110 petroleum product density tester is used to measure the density of transparent, low-viscosity liquids and viscous liquids. Density refers to the mass of substances contained in one unit volume at a specified temperature. The density of petroleum products increases as the amounts of carbon, oxygen, and sulfur in their composition increase. Therefore, those with more aromatics, more colloids and asphaltic substances have a high density, while those with more cycloalkanes are in the middle, and those with more alkanes have the lowest density. Thus, based on the density (or specific gravity) of petroleum products, one can to some extent determine the type and composition of the oil. It is widely used in departments such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, power, transportation, commodity inspection, and scientific research.
