Product Description

 

Applications and Scope of Use

This product is suitable for determining the release of formaldehyde and VOCs from various artificial boards, composite wood flooring, carpets, carpet underlays, and carpet adhesives, as well as for constant temperature and humidity equilibrium treatment of wood or artificial boards. It can also be used for detecting volatile harmful gases in other building materials. The main feature of this product is its ability to simulate indoor climate environments to the greatest extent possible, resulting in more realistic and reliable test results.

Working Principle

A sample with a surface area of 1 square meter is placed in a climate chamber where temperature, relative humidity, airflow velocity, and air exchange rate are controlled at specific values. TVOCs are released from the sample and mixed with the air in the chamber.  Air from the chamber is sampled periodically using a constant flow sampler, and then analyzed by gas chromatography to determine the total TVOC content.

Sealing Performance

When there is an overpressure of 1000 Pa, the gas leakage is less than 10-3 × 1 m³/min, and the difference between inlet and outlet gas flow rates is less than 1%.

Thermal Insulation

The climate chamber walls and door should have effective thermal insulation.

Noise Level

The noise level of the climate chamber during operation should not exceed 60 dB.

Continuous Operating Time

The climate chamber should be able to operate continuously for at least 28 days.

Materials

It features a jacketed structure design with two layers of stainless steel inner chambers and an air layer in between. The inner chamber is made of mirror-finish stainless steel, which does not produce or adsorb formaldehyde. The outer layer is made of powder-coated steel plate.

Monitoring Equipment

1. Uses a 10-inch touch control screen as the human-machine interface, with both English and Chinese language options.

2. Allows direct setting and digital display of chamber temperature, relative humidity, temperature compensation, dew point compensation, dew point deviation, and temperature deviation.

3. Uses original imported sensors and automatically records and plots control curves.

4.Can connect to a wireless network, allowing monitoring of equipment operation via mobile phone or computer.

5. Data transfer and storage for up to two years.

6. Digital pressure display.

7. Records power-on time and accumulates working time.

8. Digital flow rate display, controlled by a mass flow meter.

9. Wind speed adjustment, controlled by a Siemens frequency converter.

Refrigeration System

Uses original imported refrigeration compressor (Aspera).

Humidity Control Method

Employs a dry-wet ratio adjustment method to control the relative humidity of the working chamber, ensuring stable humidity with fluctuations less than 3% RH.  No condensation will form on the chamber walls.
