Fabric Heat Resistance Moisture Resistance Testing Machine Textile Thermal and Moisture Resistance Tester 

Instroduction

Thermal resistance and moisture resistance are special measuring devices, suitable for measuring the thermal and moisture resistance of textiles under steady-state conditions. This testing method is based on measuring the heat loss through the sample at a stable temperature. The sample is placed on a heat plate, and all sides of the heat plate except the side with the sample have active heat shielding to achieve better temperature resistance (better insulation) and low power consumption.

The sample can be precisely wetted to simulate human sweating (and measure the water vapor resistance). A porous heat plate is used, and water can be pumped into the component. The sample is not soaked in water, and the sintered material of the heat plate is only permeable to water vapor.

The sample is moistened by water vapor and blown over with a cross-flow fan to simulate: just like wearing sweaty clothes. The air speed and turbulence are electronically regulated, and then the vapor resistance is measured according to the power requirements of the heat plate heating.


Instrument composition

This instrument consists of two parts: the hot plate equipment unit (HPD) and the handcart. The HPD is inserted into a custom-provided temperature box. Then, the handcart is connected to the HPD through a water hose and electrical connectors. The handcart includes a computer, power supply, measurement circuit, and a water tank with a pump and valve.

Uniform heating of the hot plate is important for accurate results. Copper layers are used to achieve high uniformity. Additionally, our temperature regulator measures temperature with a resolution of 0.018°C.

The sample is moistened by water circulation. When the sample is dry, water is added under the porous hot plate. Adding cold water may lead to inaccurate results, so we heat water in two-stage preheaters.
