Product Overview
This instrument utilizes the national standard isothermal conduction calorimetry method to fully characterize the hydration process of cement paste within a defined age, providing a curve showing the change in the hydration heat release rate with age. It is particularly useful for accurately measuring the hydration heat characteristics of cement within 24 hours. It is primarily used for testing large-volume concrete for water conservancy and hydropower projects, anti-cracking concrete for railways and highways, anti-cracking concrete for nuclear power plants, marine engineering concrete, and high-rise building foundation concrete using isothermal conduction calorimetry. It is an ideal device for developing new formulations and conducting quality control during the manufacturing and preparation of cement and concrete.
Product Application
The isothermal calorimeter is suitable for measuring the heat of cement hydration.
Working Principle
This method is based on the Seebeck effect. Under a constant ambient temperature, the heat released by cement hydration is rapidly transferred from the test sample cell via a heat flow sensor to a constant-temperature radiator, maintaining the temperature of the cement hydrate. A data logger automatically measures the voltage difference between the test sample cell and the reference sample cell and outputs the thermal power. The integral of the thermal power over time is the total heat of hydration.
