Product Introduction
The transient thermal conductivity tester (transient planar heat source method) is used to test the thermal conductivity of materials. Based on standards such as ISO 22007-2-2008, GB/T 32064-2015, and GB/T42919.1-2023, it meets the testing requirements of materials in various forms, such as liquids, solid blocks, pastes, powders, and films. The test time is short, ≤160 seconds per sample; the test sensitivity is high, reaching 0.0001.
Measurement Principle
The transient planar heat source method is based on the principle of one-dimensional unsteady-state heat conduction in a plane: a planar heat source in an infinite medium, under initial thermal equilibrium, generates a dynamic temperature field within the medium after being subjected to an instantaneous heating pulse. Using the temperature data generated during the heat conduction process, a function curve is fitted to calculate the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the sample. During testing, a constant DC current is applied to the heat source, causing a temperature rise on the surface of the heat source and an increase in resistance, resulting in an imbalance in the bridge test system and a change in potential. The temperature increase over time is derived as a function of changes in electrical parameters.
